The Académie is composed of about 50 members co-opted from among men and women who have been at the forefront of the intellectual and/or artistic scene of our region for several years.
Every month, two public lectures are offered, most of them devoted to the historical, geographical and cultural activities of Touraine, without losing sight of the achievements and illustrious lives of the outstanding men and women of the region.

Every year, the texts of the different lectures are published in a volume under the title of "Mémoires". It is possible to obtain a copy by joining the Association des Amis de I'Académie (president : Monsieur Jean-Luc PORHEL) whose aim is to help the Académie to make its activities known in France and abroad.
